Every IAEI student is invited to join in all the extracurricular activities and events that go on through out the year. Some of these include:

Weekly Clubs—Practice and improve your English in our conversation club, student magazine club or movie club. These are great opportunities to talk with American students and practice in an informal environment while having a great time!

Field Trips—1-2 times each semester, we take a field trip during the school day. Past trips have included Umlauf Sculpture Gardens, Hamilton Pool, the Texas Capitol, Inner Space Caverns, and Six Flags over Texas amusement park. This is a great way to meet friends and get acquainted with your teachers outside of the classroom.

After-school Outings—To provide students with opportunities to experience the culture and life of Austin, we take 1-2 outings each month to nearby locations. Past outings have included: museums, movie theatres, bowling alleys, shopping areas, and University of Texas sports events. These activities allow students to enjoy some of the best things in Austin.
