English for Professional Development (EPD)
EPD equips English language learners for GRE and GMAT exams necessary for professional advancement. Our focus on language skills makes EPD courses different from courses for native speakers that emphasize mathematics.
EPD courses provide 18 hours of instruction per week. The minimum EPD course lasts for 6 weeks and teaches reading comprehension, analytical writing, academic vocabulary, and test-taking skills. A brief mathematics review is included for students unfamilliar with the style of mathematics questions on the GRE and GMAT.
The extended EDP course lasts for 15 weeks, with additional study of academic vocabulary, reading speed and comprehension, reasoning, analytical writing, and test-taking skills and practice.
EPD students must show that they have the English language skills to benefit from classes before they register. Students may demonstrate their English language ability by either interviewing with IAEI staff or by presenting a TOEFL score of at least 530.
EPD classes are held from 2:45pm - 6:30pm Monday - Thursday and from 1:30pm - 4:30pm on Friday.
