Frequently Asked Questions

1.Is there housing near IAEI?
YES! There is plenty of housing near IAEI. We are located only a few blocks away from the University of Texas campus, therefore there is plenty of student housing in apartments, dorms and co-ops. For more information, go to our Housing Information page.

2.Can a student with an F-1 visa get a social security card?
The current law says that F-1 students cannot obtain a Social Security card.

3.Do you take field trips or cultural outings?
Yes! Our field trips and extra-curricular activities are one of the things that make IAEI special. We usually take 1-2 full-day field trips each semester, as well as several after-school outings to nearby locations. Click here for more information.

4.Am I required to have health insurance?
IAEI requires all F-1 students to have health insurance. We can give you information about student insurance plans and help you find the right plan for you.
